  1. Meh.Recovery is a novella in the New Jedi Order series that goes back and explains what Han and Leia are up to while Anakin is gallivanting across Yavin 4 I m not a fan of shorter stories, and while it s well written, Recovery failed to capture me It was a little bland and confusing at points.Unfortunately, the handful of Jedi that were introduced didn t feel Jedi enough They were amusing sometimes, but I wasn t rooting for them or anything Actually, the book didn t feel Star Wars enough It just [...]

  2. A Star Wars short story featuring Princess Leia and Han Solo during the middle of the New Jedi Order series Fills in a few gaps of what took place between the major books, Balance Point 6 and Edge of Victory 7 I enjoyed when the characters got to met the Jedi Barabels for the first time and of course the space maneuvers.

  3. A nice edition to the Star Wars universe.Han and Leia are the major players in this one.Deals a lot with Leia physical recovery after encountering a Yuzhan Vong warleader.Filled with a ton of sarcastic banter between the Solos.I really enjoyed it.

  4. An enjoyable little sidebar to the main action of the Yuuzhan Vong war It follows Han and Leia, and some new Jedi friends which was fun to discover, by the way as they are on the run from bounty hungers Leia is trying to recover from leg injuries that could kill her Through all this, the couple draw close again and their marriage is as strong as ever. They eventually make it to Coruscant and expose a traitor This is in conjunction with what is going on in the main storyline, and the expose traito [...]

  5. This was alright I guess, adding some backstory between the books I thought most of the new Jedi folks were sort of lame and I felt like I had to skim over things because it was a tad boring.

  6. An interesting story set between events of the main novel series, Recovery fills in details of Han and Leia s reconciliation after their separation caused in part by Han s departure after view spoiler Chewie s death hide spoiler in Vector Prime Some of the space ship movement was a bit hard to follow but absolutely loved the introduction of a new cell of Jedi and their star fighter wing, the Wild Knights.I suspect one of the story s most enduring plot points will be the return to the welcome fri [...]

  7. I am not usually fan of novellas that show up as a something.5 in a series Usually they go out of their way to avoid dealing with the series plot in an effort to ensure that readers don t have to read it in order to move on to the next book.Recovery by Troy Denning is not like that He not only writes about main character but he introduces new potentially important players to the series In addition the last chapter covers an important plot point that may or may not be rehashed in book 7 I haven t [...]

  8. Denning doesn t disappoint Han Leia shippers and comes to the rescue after the first few books of NJO with this sweet and fluffy new start to the Solos relationship the recovery hinted by the title goes beyond Leia recovering from her injuries on Duro as the book sees that Han and Leia salvage their marriage and Han remembers that he hasn t lost everything.Though this may not be a read essential to the NJO storyline, this IS a must read for Han Leia shippers Denning writes the classic couple so [...]

  9. The new Jedi order completely outpaces anything in the Starwars genre This series was Dark, exciting, fast paced, and inspired The writing was fantastic and the level of philosophy and force history was unparalleled If your a fan at any level of the Starwars Universe than this series is a must read It is on my top 5 of all time for a series and I treasured every moment I spent in that time But beware, this isn t your typical Starwars book, be ready for a level of intensity that you ve never seen [...]

  10. This has a fantastic beginning with Han s mindset three months after Duro.We re introduced to different Force users as Han and Leia leave Corella, where Leia was recuperating There are spies and assassins everywhere Jedi under Eelysa who I didn t remember AT ALL help them escape Notably in these Wild Knights are Tesar Sebatine and his hatchmates. This is a fantastic short on how Leia and Han get back on track, begin to lead the quest for the Jedi s great river, and just love again. The best thing [...]

  11. This is a short novella recapping Leia and Han s adventures between Balance Point and Edge of Victory Conquest It provides a lot of insight into what happened to Leia and Han after Duro and how they worked to recover their marriage The novella does a good job of reconciling this famous OTP and showing how they will continue to work as a team in the future.I admit it I m trash for anything Han and Leia, so I loved it.

  12. A novella set in the New Jedi Order series I don t expect much from a short story since the author has a limited amount to convey the point I think that was the problem with this story To me, the conclusion that Han and Leia solved was too easy Within a paragraph, they sat down to try to figure it out and they did I did enjoy that Han seems to be back from his mourning of Chewbacca I would only recommend this if you are reading the whole series.

  13. A very enjoyable short story which takes place soon after the events of Kathy Tyers book, Balance Point In it, Han Leia are pursued by assassins, but neither knows exactly why The truth is unimaginable, and the couple, amidst repairing a strained relationship, do what they can to help the republic save face yet again.

  14. A nice means of bringing Han and Leia back together emotionally, Han waiting while Leia recovers from her Yuuzhan Vong ordeal It seems awkward at first, reading about the two as they try going right back to what they had been doing for years but it is a necessary book to get their flow going again for the rest of the series Nice

  15. One of the better books in the New Jedi Order or Yuuzhan Vong War series Once the Millenium Falcon reaches the reformed Coruscant the story almost becomes a 1970 s disaster movie I found it very exciting.

  16. Pretty great read that helps connect the dots in terms of how Leia and Han started to make up after his adventures with Droma And a good angle on how they started to work against Viqi Although, did we really need to add rogue Jedi into the picture

  17. First half was boring as hell Second half less boring, but still Only good thing is that Han is back from his guilt trip.Hope next book on the series is better because for me, it s starting to get dull.

  18. I should have reread the NJO before starting this book I only have vague recollections of the events that occured before this story It was a quick easy little read A nice Han Leia centered story that hasn t been seen in quiet some time.

  19. A short, simple e book that chronicles Leia s recovery after the previous book in the series Fairly straight forward, introduces a new faction of Jedi, and allows for some reconciliation between Han and Leia Good, simple stuff all around.

  20. I literally only read this because I was promised Han and Leia, since I haven t read anything else set after Thrawn After Tatooine Ghost, I knew Denning wouldn t disappoint, and he didn t I would pay him to write official Han Leia stories.

  21. Its not that I didn t enjoy the book it just wasn t up to the excitement level of the book preceeding or following it and saying a lot considering Balance Point was my least favorite of the NJO so far.

  22. A solid entry in the series, this short e book covers the reunion of Han and Leia not the one from Episode VII The story moves right along, and the characters resonate well.
