Popular Books Glint of Light on Broken Glass Having gone to Guernsey on the strength of having read a book, I guess it was only right to break my NY resolution (of nearly 7 months! I'm pretty proud of that!) not to buy new books by buying a book set in the place that I was. I enjoyed the story of George - as heartbreaking as it may have been, it was never mawkish, and sympathised with Edith on the constraints of her life. I also learnt some more of the history, geography and superstitions of Guernsey. I can't lend it to you, I'm leaving it here in Saville. Happy reading to the person who picks it up!
