I used to put business cards in his pitchfork with things written on them which made the gnome look like a protester with a placard. One of my favourites was "I'm Plastered'. For a while that gnome kept me sane - I called him Socrates Muldoon, the philosopher leprechaun.Anyway, it is always nice to learn how other people stay sane at work. Even though I'm not totally convinced that finding ways to remain sane at work isn't actually counter-productive.
